Oh wow! What a fabulous kennings poem Kaelan! You have really captured the spirit and atmosphere of summer for me. The waves, surfers, boats and cicadas are all the sounds I love about the summer season. You have also included some strong images of my favourite summer holiday foods - ice cream and hot chips! Your choice of words has really captured my imagination. Do you and your family plan to spend time at the beach or near water over the holiday break? Keep up the great work! Nga mihi, Naomi (Manaiakalani Facilitator)
My name is Quein and I am a blog commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. This is a fantastic poem, your carefully chosen words work well with each other to give the reader a picture of summer. As I was reading it I pictured myself walking across a beach with a strawberry ice-cream. I really enjoyed your creativity with words. I cant wait to see more of the awesome poems that you may create over the SLJ.
Do you have any tips for fellow bloggers on how to create a kenning poem?
Keep up the Super work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
